Nexus Teen Academy: Oak Treatment Offerings

At Nexus, we have a clear treatment philosophy that puts the clients first and ensures that they are guided toward a brighter future. By building confidence, addressing past trauma, building a healthy lifestyle, and creating a clear vision for the future, our clinical team aims to create a sustainable and goal-oriented path forward that your teen can follow for the foreseeable future.

Let’s take a look at some of the specific treatment offerings we use to do this.

Evidence-Based Therapies

Evidence-based therapy and counseling are the backbone of our treatment offerings at Nexus Teen Academy. Some of the most common evidence-based forms of therapy we offer at Nexus include:

  • Teen cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Dialectical behavior therapy
  • Motivational interviewing
  • Peer group therapy

Individual treatment plans will depend on each client’s specific situation and best course of action determined by the clinical team and case managers.

Experiential Therapies

Along with evidence-based counseling, we offer an array of experiential therapies that provide a complementary dimension to our treatment approach. Some common types of experiential therapies we offer include:

  • Psychodrama therapy
  • Sound therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Meditation & mindfulness exercises

We have also partnered with Ignite Equine to offer third-party equine therapy for clients who are interested.

Personalized Treatment Plans

Personalized treatment plans are something that helps Nexus separate itself from the rest of the pack. We understand that each teen’s situation is different and our treatment programs are designed to reflect this reality.

While some aspects of treatment will likely remain consistent, like individual and group therapies, how often and the type of these therapies will change on a case-by-case basis.
